Dear Sir:

Last April 2008, I, Albert Dale Baulita Inocencio, applied for admission in your college. Regarding the said application, I have successfully complied with one of the requirements in order to be accepted by your college under the BA Public Administration (BAPA) degree program by passing the UP College Admissions Test (UPCAT). Regarding my grades as of the 2nd semester of my 3rd year, with reference to my True Copy of Grades (TCG), one can see how my General Weighed Average (GWA) sharply decreased by the 2nd semester of my first year. Since my failure at that time, I have, so far, successfully tried my best to recover.

From the time that I was in highschool, I was already interested in the welfare of our country and our countrymen and find it difficult to accept the presence of ineptitude and corruption within our own government, the same government that was tasked to take care of our interests instead of their own. I have conducted my own research and deceloped my own theories regarding this, even comparing the current system to the ideals I have read thus far. Despite this, I was still ignorant of the existence of this institution until my father, Andrew Inocencio, suggested this course in the midst of my previous semester as a good place for me to find my own future. Having applied for many programs in different colleges gave me a better perspective regarding my situation and helped me find my interests which led to my applying in your college.

I have a very wide range of interests which is the main cause of my difficulty in choosing a suitable course until I heard of this degree program from my father. I have found that this program matches with my ideal future, as one of the leaders of this country that would lead it into a brighter future. I am willing to sacrifice in order to achieve this goal because I truly believe that this country is worth it.

If you would take the time to check for yourself the growth of my GWA (enclosed are my own computations) you would see that my grades are slow but are surely recovering given the relatively short amount of time I had to do so. I request you to consider my application and I am willing to prove my worth by undergoing a probationary period until I prove to be unsuited to this course (though I find this to be unlikely).

Thank you for taking this time to read and consider my appeal.

Sincerely yours,

Albert Dale Baulita Inocencio
